                               RESOLUTION NO. 19629
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
                   EXECUTE AN INDEMNITY AGREEMENT WITH KAY AND
                   KAY CONTRACTING, INC., K&N PAINTING COMPANY,
                   INC. AND THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
                   WHEREBY KAY AND KAY CONTRACTING AND K&N
                   PAINTING COMPANY, INC. AGREES TO INDEMNIFY
                   THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA AND THE UNITED
                   STATES OF AMERICA FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY
                   RELATIVE TO SANDBLASTING AND PAINTING ON THE
                   WALNUT STREET BRIDGE OVER THE PROPERTY
                   OCCUPIED BY THE NAVY AND MARINE CORPS
                   RESERVE CENTER.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the Mayor be and is hereby 
authorized
       to execute an Indemnity Agreement with Kay and Kay Contracting,
       Inc., K&N Painting Company, Inc. and the United States of 
America,
       whereby Kay and Kay Contracting, Inc. and K&N Painting Company,
       Inc. agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the City of 
Chattanooga
       and the United States of America from any and all liability
       relative to sandblasting and painting on the Walnut Street Bridge 

       over the property leased by the United States of America from the 

       City of Chattanooga which is currently occupied by the Navy and
       Marine Corps reserve center.
